How to use the site

The course is made up of six lessons. Click on the lesson tabs above to access each lesson.

Each lesson has seven sections: dialogue; glossary; grammar; cultural capsule; background; exercises and quiz. Access these by clicking the links on the submenu bar beneath the lesson tabs.

In the dialogue section of each lesson, to help you with your pronounciation we have included a small sound file of each sentence. To listen to these click on the speech bubble.

To enjoy the full functionality offered by the Gaeltalk.net experience you will need to download and install Windows Media Player 9.
This is to enable the playing of the Gaeltalk sound files, which are in .WMA format.
Windows Media Player 9 can be downloaded by clicking the link below and following the on-screen instructions.

There are also four icons on the submenu bar.

Click on the page icon for an English translation and to access the answer in the exercise and quiz sections.

Click on the speaker to download the whole conversation.

Click on the printer for a printer-friendly version of this page.
